Frequently Ask Questions / Answers
What kind of paint do you use?
· Face Paint: I use Paradise, Wolfe, Tag, Diamond FX and Mehron brand professional, FDA compliant, cosmetic grade paints which have been approved for use on the face and skin. I do not use acrylic, craft, or poster paints. Although labeled non-toxic, these paints are not approved for use on the skin and can cause irritation.
How should paint be removed?
· Face Paint is easily removed with warm soapy water and a washcloth. If trace stains remain, as they sometimes will with a heavy black or red design, simply apply cold cream or facial lotion, wait 30 minutes, then gently wash the area again with warm soapy water.
Does the painter paint on broken skin?
· No face paint should ever be used on anyone who has a contagious disease or an open sore or wound. Even acne should be avoided as the rubbing to remove the paint may cause increased irritation to the sensitive skin area. Should this be a problem, Jessica will offer to paint other areas of clear skin such as the forearm or hand. Although her paint has never caused an allergic reaction, should you be concerned about your child's skin allergies, simply mention this to Jessica and she will be happy to apply a small amount of paint to a test area prior to doing full face paint.
How old must my child be?
Face painting is recommended for kids that are 3 years and older.
The ideal age is 4 years old and up.

My kid doesn’t like to get his face painted but will you just do it anyway?
Please don't make me. You are our customer and we want you to be happy, but the idea of forcing a child to get painted goes against what face painting is all about. We as parents tell our children to be leery of strangers and that's a good thing. Some apprehension is to be expected. We will first try to paint a design on the arm if there is an aversion to the face. If that doesn't work we'll be glad to give your child a little sticker or trinket so they don't feel left out. Our policies support both smiles and safety. Face painting is supposed to be a fun experience - enjoyed by kids and parents alike.
I didn’t book enough time to get all my guest painted, can you stay longer?
We would absolutely love to stay and finish all your guests and as long as we don't have an event following yours, we can simply charge you in half hour increments. Occasionally we have to book events back to back. In those cases we are not able to stay longer than promised so please let us know if this is a possibility.
